Biography
Jeweliyana grew up in Calgary (as Patti Milner) She was always creating something. Concocting lotions 'n potions and culinary questionables like fried spaghetti (the uncooked kind) or building the town her brother drove his hot wheels around in. This natural creativeness pervades everything she does.
At School she participated in an individualized Special Ed.art program. Some of her teachers would barter for her finished assignments. After graduation she entered the corporate world. The call to create, never far she continued exploring various mediums while working as a geological technician and later in the promotional advertising field.
When she was introduced to glass in 1994 her fate was sealed but life and motherhood kept things on simmer until 2010 when she opened InFused Glass Works and delved in to the study and practice of kiln forming glass full time.
She's received Awards from Parks Canada (Magic in the Mountains Exhibition, 2011) and been featured in "Art Takes Times Square" NYC, USA 2012. Her work can be found in numerous art collections throughout North America and far away places like Turkey and the UK.
An Installation, ‘View from a Secret Bridge’, a mosaic incorporating fused glass can be seen in the Artisan Legacy Gardens at the historical Bow Valley Ranche in Fish Creek Provincial Park, Calgary AB. She has created numerous windows and custom backsplash installations for private collectors as well.
Her Painting career officially started in 2017 although she'd been dabbling in it for years. In Dec 2022 she had her first solo show and was curated into an Artrepreneur abstracts show.
She currently creates and teaches from her home studio in Calgary.
