Jeweliyana grew up in Calgary (as Patti Milner) She was always creating something. Concocting lotions 'n potions and culinary questionables like fried spaghetti (the uncooked kind) or building the town her brother drove his hot wheels around in. This natural creator tendency percolated and refined over the years.
At School she participated in a Special Ed. individualized art program where some of her teachers would barter with her for her finished assignment pieces. After graduation she entered the corporate world. The call to create, never far she continued exploring various mediums while working as a geological technician and later in the promotional advertising field.
When she was introduced to glass in 1994 her fate was sealed. Life and motherhood kept things on simmer though until 2010 when she opened InFused Glass Works and delved in to the study and practice of kiln forming glass.
She was awarded the People's Choice Award from Parks Canada (Magic in the Mountains Exhibition, 2011) and featured in "Art Takes Times Square" NYC, USA 2012. Her work can be found in numerous art collections throughout North America and far away places like Turkey and the UK.
An Installation, ‘View from a Secret Bridge’, a mosaic incorporating fused glass can be seen in the Artisan Legacy Gardens at the historical Bow Valley Ranche in Fish Creek Provincial Park, Calgary AB. She has created numerous windows and custom backsplash installations for private collectors as well.
Her painting career started 2017 as a sideline and has been growing steadily under the radar. As of 2020 she is focusing more of her time in this medium and is excited to share new work soon.
She currently creates and teaches from her home studio in Calgary.
